2011 Fund Raising Drive

Greetings Stow Alumni,

This letter kicks off our 2011 fund raising drive.  It is an invitation to
contribute to our many charitable projects.  First, a word about invitations.  There are
two types of invitations, there is the one for instance when your mom invites you and your
family over for Thanksgiving dinner.  This is not a true invitation, because if you do not
accept it you are in deep trouble!  Then there is a true invitation, this being one that you
can accept or decline.  Ours is a true invitation.  Personally as President, this is the most
difficult part of my job.  I think most Americans find it difficult to ask for money, we are
an independent lot.  The problem with not asking is that it takes away your decision, and,
obviously, leaves us with no donations.
So the decision is yours.  If you like what we are doing, and it is
appropriate for you, consider a donation.  Any amount will be put to good use and is
greatly appreciated.  In addition to our scholarship program, we try to help out the needy
wherever possible, Food Bank, soup kitchen, ect.  We also help out with school projects,
and we are looking at a veterans project as well.
Donations may be sent to :  Stow Alumni Association
                                                                     PO Box 2626
                                                                      Stow, Ohio 44224

Speaking for the Association Officers, we hope you all have a great
holiday season and a fabulous 2012.

                                                 Best Regards,

                                                           Bob Cooper   President   1963
